Critic and Audience Comments
“...they’ve given us a superior “Pericles,”...Mr. Helsinger’s “Pericles” is at once traditional and up to date, with period costumes, a simple but handsome unit set and plenty of comedy to leaven the twisty plot. The results are pleasing in every way...”- Terry Teachout, The Wall Street Journal
“Orlando Shakespeare Theater's handsome production, directed by Jim Helsinger, sets the right tone of playful adventure.”- Matt Palm, Orlando Sentinel
"Pericles presents a rare opportunity to experience a modern translation of Shakespeare and you don't want to miss it. Even if (or perhaps, especially if) you are on the fence with Shakespeare's style, take a chance and go see this show." - Broadway World, Orlando
"The Adventures of Pericles masterfully portrayed an otherworldly and mystical ancient Greece, and Pericles’ adventures through it were fun and enrapturing." - Central Florida Future
